LifeScape
Terms of Service
Effective November 4, 2026 · Version 2026-11-04-draft
Draft, under attorney review.LifeScape is in a private, invite-only beta. This page describes how LifeScape works today and may change before public launch. If it changes in a way that matters, we'll tell members and ask them to agree again.
The short version
Your stories are yours. You give LifeScape permission only to store and show them to the people you choose.
Only add what you have the right to share, and respect the people in it, especially children. A StoryKeeper is responsible for the stories they run.
LifeScape is in beta, so things may change or break while we build it.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and LifeScape(“LifeScape,” “we”). By creating an account or using LifeScape you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use LifeScape.
2. Who can use LifeScape
- You must be 18 or older to have an account.
- Children take part only through a parent or guardian, or a StoryKeeper acting with a parent's permission.
- You're responsible for your account. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else is using it.
- One person per account. Give your real name and accurate details.
3. Your stories belong to you
You keep ownership of the photos, videos, voice recordings and words you add (“your content”). You give LifeScape a limited permission to store, copy, arrange and show your content, only to run LifeScape for you and the people you choose. For example, we play it in a Momentary, show it to approved followers, or include it in a story's weekly email.
- We won't sell your content or use it in advertising.
- We won't make your content public unless you or the story's keeper choose to.
- When content is deleted, this permission ends, apart from short-lived backups.
- When you add content to someone else's story, its keeper may include it in that story and its Momentaries, and in videos the keeper saves.
4. What you may add
Only add content you have the right to share. That means:
- You took it, or you have permission from the person who did.
- The people clearly shown in it wouldn't reasonably object. For children, their parent or guardian has agreed.
- Music, film or other material owned by someone else is used only with permission. LifeScape's built-in music is licensed for use in Momentaries.
5. What isn't allowed
- Anything that sexualizes, exploits or endangers a child.
- Harassment, bullying, threats or hate.
- Sharing someone's private information, or photos of someone who has asked you not to.
- Nudity, graphic violence, or illegal content.
- Pretending to be someone else, or adding people to stories to spam them.
- Trying to get into stories, accounts or parts of LifeScape you weren't invited to, or interfering with how it works.
- Copying or collecting other members' information.
Anyone can use the Report button or block another member. We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or close accounts that break these rules, with or without notice. We may report content that endangers a child to the authorities.
6. StoryKeepers
A StoryKeeper runs a story and agrees to some extra responsibilities:
- Review what people send before it's added, and remove anything that shouldn't be there.
- Approve followers with care. The limit is 50 per keeper.
- Respect every parent's choices about their own child, including permission forms, tag approvals and requests to take a photo down.
- For team pages, follow the StoryKeeper agreement shown before the keeper page opens.
7. Saving and sharing
Keepers can save a Momentary as a video, and anyone in a story can share a link to it. A shared link still only opens for people allowed into the story. A saved video is a copy you control. Please share it only in ways the people in it, and parents of children in it, would agree to.
8. Paid plans
LifeScape is free during the beta. If we offer paid plans, we'll show the price and terms before you pay, and you can cancel any time. If you stop paying, your stories won't be deleted.
9. Beta and changes
LifeScape is in an invite-only beta and is provided “as is.” Features may change, pause or end, and there may be mistakes or downtime. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose; we can't promise LifeScape will always be available or error-free. We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell members and post the new version here.
10. Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, LifeScape isn't responsible for content other members add, for how people you share with use what they see, or for indirect losses. Our total responsibility for any claim about LifeScape is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you haven't paid anything. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
11. Ending your account
You can stop using LifeScape at any time, and ask us to delete your account through the Feedback button at the bottom of any LifeScape page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
12. Law and disputes
If something goes wrong, please tell us first; most problems can be fixed quickly that way.
